Lisa Laman is a life-long movie fan, writer, and Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic located both on the autism spectrum and in Texas. Her byline has been seen in outlets like IndieWire, Collider, Looper, Pajiba, Polygon, The Mary Sue, Fangoria, AutoStraddle, The Spool, and ScarleTeen, among others.

She has also presented original essays at multiple academic conferences, been a featured guest on a BBC podcast, and interviewed artists ranging from Anna Kerrigan to Mark Wahlberg.

Lisa Laman has also attended multiple film festivals, including the October 2023 edition of the Austin Film Festival, and is a member of both the Critic's Choice Association and GALECA: The Society of LGBTQA Entertainment Critics. In September 2024, Lisa Laman presented at a "Queering Entertainment Criticism" panel with other esteemed writers at the annual NLGJA conference in Los Angeles.

Lisa Laman harbors a passion for many things in life, including movies, chips dipped in queso, pugs, singing too loud at karaoke, reading, and any song from Carly Rae Jepsen.
